Dance

The Spencer Family YMCA is happy to introduce Tracy Zimmerman as the new Dance Director! The following is a breif description of her accomplishments.

"I have been involved professionally in dance in may differant capacities. From performer to choreographer, to coaching and consultations, instructor to competition/audition judge I have been exposed to just about every avenue of dance. I am a former Professional Arena football team dancer for the Iowa Barnstormer's. I have choreographed and staged many half time televised dance productions along with choreographing award winnning routines and audition pieces for numerous college, university and high school dance teams. I performed in shows at Adventureland Theme park, as well as in being a featured dancer in theatre stage productions. I have traveled around the nation judging national / regional dance and talent competitions as well as competing in them."

The Spencer Family YMCA is proud and welcome Tracy to the YMCA family.

The YMCA Dance Program has many levels to offer. You can enroll your child for dance at the age of 3. There are various styles of dance that the Dance Program has to offer. There is Ballet, Jazz, Tap and Pointe classes, and Dance Force the high school dance team.

Dancer

Dance Attire:

All students please wear leotards and tights to class. Supplies can be ordered through Tracy. Hair should be up in a ponytail or bun.


Gymnastics

Gymnastics Attire:

Girls: All students please wear leotards. Hair should be up in a ponytail and away from the face. No jewelry
Boys: All students should wear a T-shirt, shorts. gymnastics
  The YMCA has a Progressive Gymnastics Program. Children can start at the age of 3 and take classes all the way up to 12th grade..

Note: Registration is not complete until payment is made at the Member Services Center.
