The Spencer Family YMCA offers an array of adult fitness classes to help keep you healthy and meet your fitness goals. Adult Fitness classes are part of membership at the Spencer Family YMCA and are available at no additional charge.
Current classes being offered can be found on the Fitness Schedule as well as on the Pool Schedule.
The Spencer Family YMCA offers Aquatic Fitness Classes for all ages and fitness levels from Warm Water Therapy in our Instructional Pool to an advanced deep water class called Hydropower in the Olson Pool. Levels in between include: Aquacise, Aqua Joints, Aqua Muscle, Aqua Jogging, H2O Combo and Water Walking.

The Spencer Family YMCA offers several types of group fitness classes for all levels of participants. Classes include: Lite Combo, Boot Camp, Y Pump, Ab Express, Cardio Dance, Zumba, Yoga and Pilates. All classes include a warm-up, aerobic segment of at least 30 minutes, cool-down, strength training (including abdominal work) and stretching. Our instructors are all nationally certified as fitness instructors and are also certified in First Aid and CPR.

Interested in lifting free weights but feel lost in the free weight room? Let our trained staff show you the correct way to lift and what muscle groups you are working. It does not matter if you're male or female. We will set up an individualized program just for you based on your goals and needs.

Fit vs. fat... Weight alone is not a true indicator of a person's health. BCAs determine your body fat over lean muscle and prints a suggested diet and exercise program for each individual person.

The Spencer Family YMCA provides a diversified program of recreational activities for our active older adult members.
“Delay the Disease” is a fitness program designed to empower people with Parkinson’s Disease (PD) by optimizing their physical function and helping to delay the progression of symptoms. The goal of this program is to motivate participants to develop a habit of consistent exercise routines best suited to their individual needs. All older adults are welcome to attend the class no matter if you are directly affected by Parkinson's Disease.
A Senior Strength and Conditioning class has been devloped in an effort to provide an effective, research-driven physical activity program that is scientifically proven to improve health and performance in older adults. This program can be completed in a standing or sitting position. Wheelchair and assisted walkers are welcome to participate. Don’t let your inexperience turn you away from this life changing exercise program, this class is for all levels of fitness.
