Welcome to the Spencer Family YMCA

Welcome to the Spencer Family Y! When you join the Y, you become a member of an association whose mission is to help children, families and communities reach their greatest potential. A Spencer Family YMCA membership represents an investment in your community and yourself! The Spencer Family YMCA is a membership-based organization.

Strengthening the community is our cause. Everyday we work side-by-side with our neighbors to make sure that everyone, regardless of age, income or background, has the opportunity to learn, grow and thrive. We are committed to healthly living, social responisibility and youth development.

YOUR OPINION MATTERS!

At the Y, strengthening community is our cause.  We believe that lasting personal and social change can only come about when we all work together to invest in our kids, our health and our neighbors.  The Y has listened and responded to communities’ most critical social needs since its founding, and we’re determined to keep doing it.

The Spencer YMCA is working with YMCA of the USA, our national office, to conduct a community needs assessment.  Based on this community needs assessment, the Y will design and deliver new programs and services that address critical issues in the areas of youth development, healthy living, and social responsibility.  In order to design services that are community focused, we must assess the needs of more than our current program participants and facility users.  We are seeking partners that will assist the Y in distributing an on-line survey to a wider audience than we currently have access to. Please follow the following link to help your Spencer Family YMCA to assess the needs of the community.

Responses are not individually tracked and are kept confidential.  The assessment should take approximately 5 minutes to complete and the results will be compiled into an executive summary that will be shared with our community partners.
