Dvergsten Early Childcare

From the Director

It is our goal to provide quality care for the children and families in our community. We provide every child with a fun, safe and exciting environment. We encourage our children to grow and experience a wide variety of activities through things such as messy play, outdoor playground, nature center and swimming. We also encourage creativity through crafts and imaginary play. We believe in leading and developing our staff, so that your children have the best experience possible. Our staff love what they do and we accept all children with open arms.

Early Childcare

Dvergsten Early Childcare Center accepts children 6 weeks to 5 years. Our Infant/Toddler program accepts children 6 weeks to 36 months. Toilet-trained children ages 3 to 5 years who have not yet attended Kindergarten are accepted in our 3, 4 and 5 year old Childcare program.

We are open year-round Monday – Friday, 5:30AM – 6:30PM excluding the following holidays: New Years Day, Memorial Day, Fourth of July, Labor Day, Thanksgiving Day and Christmas Day. The center is closed on weekends as well as periodically closed for room transition, maintenance and cleaning. Families are informed well in advance of any such closure.

Contract Care

All Dvergsten rooms require a prepaid weekly contract fee.

Preschool and Childcare may be contracted for on all-inclusive fee. We recognize that some families may only wish to enroll children in the Preschool program, therefore, families may also contract for Preschool without childcare services.

A deposit of the first week of contracted fee is required at the time of initial enrollment. This non-refundable fee will be applied to your first week of actual care.

Kids Club - School Age Childcare

The Place To Be After School

The Y’s After-School Program provides a safe and caring place outside of the classroom to experience active play, arts and crafts, and other hands-on learning activities while parents or guardians work. Kids will receive a healthy snack and participate in supervised activities that keep them active and productive after the school day ends. For your convenience while signed-in to Kids Club, staff will escort your child to and from after school programming at the Y until 6:00p. After 6:00p it is the parents responsibility to pick their child up from class and make sure they are signed out of Kids Club.
